Jarod M. Dean Memorial Motorcycle Ride is Aug. 29

The second annual Jarod M. Dean Memorial Motorcycle Ride will be Aug. 29 at Liberty Harley Davidson in Boston Heights.

Boston Heights Police Officer Jarod M. Dean was killed in the line of duty Jan. 19, 2009.

The motorcycle ride honors his commitment to protecting and helping others. All proceeds will be donated to the Jarod Dean Memorial Fund.

Registration for the police escorted ride starts at 9 a.m. Aug. 29.

The cost is $10, and T-shirts will be sold for $20.

The ride leaves Liberty Harley Davidson at 11 a.m. Riders will return for food, drinks, door prizes and raffles.

The event is sponsored by Liberty Harley Davidson and the Cuyahoga Valley HOG Chapter in Boston Heights.
