Chamber Chatter: Register for 'The Connection' business-to-business expoAugust 25, 2010
by Laura Sparano, Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce CEO Increase sales, decrease marketing costs, build your customer base. The Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce is trying to do just that for its' members. Trade shows and expos place you face to face with your future buyers in an environment that allows you to introduce, promote, demonstrate and market your business to prospective customers who are anxious to do business with you. Don't wait to register for "The Connection," the 2010 NHCOC Business-to-Business Expo, on Oct. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gambitta's Party Center in Northfield Center. This year the event is proudly co-sponsored by ABC Rental Center East. Reserve your space now and begin building those all important business-to-business relationships. Sponsors to date also include Best Buy, the News Leader, and No Time Cleaning Services. In contrast to our March Community Expo, this event is a vehicle for promoting your business to customers who are ready to learn and buy. Exhibitors, raffles, and complimentary wine and cheese bistro compliments of Spennato's Ristorante -- this is a business show designed to promote and enhance your business in a professional atmosphere. Space is limited. You can also check out our website for more information, www.nordoniahillschamber.org or call the Expo Hotline at 330-467-8956. * * * Thank you for making the dream come true. Please accept this invitation to the grand opening/ribbon cutting celebration Aug. 27 at the new William Boliantz Stadium and outdoor facilities at Nordonia High School. The ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place at 6:45 p.m. with Mr. Boliantz cutting the ribbon to officially open the new stadium and outdoor facilities. They are lining the field with green -- student athletes, cheerleaders and band members -- to visually display Nordonia pride and the impact these facilities will have on the students and residents of the Nordonia Hills Community today and in the years ahead. Also, the community is invited to attend the Community Thank You Open House on Aug. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. The facilities will be open to the community for a special celebration and thank you. We encourage you to come and invite your friends and family. There will be many events throughout the day including: autographs by athletes, raffle prizes, free food -- hot dogs and soda -- balloon animals, dunk tank, poster making, bake sale, face painting, Lancer Band autographs, corn hole, door prizes, musical performances by the Lancer Band, and more ... a special thank you Nordonia community. * * * Thank you to everyone who helped to make the 15th annual NHCOC Golf Outing a special event for our golfers. Committee Chair Michael Dolan of Choice Designs led a tireless group of committee members through months of hard work and relationship building. The 2010 golf committee members are Bart Benjamin, retired, Joe Gaba of Gaba Insurance, Mary Jo Ross of Howard Hanna, Lynn Horsfall of Howard Hanna, Eric Nixon of Nixon Laurianti Insurance, and Sandy Schuller of NV Corp. Mary Jo was in charge of the selfless volunteers: Shauna Kaminsky, owner of Design Wizard, Jessica Gramley, Rhonda Solomon and Nikki Bosco with No time Cleaning Services, Carrie Olson and Tina Crissman with Elmcroft of Sagamore Hills, Marilyn Knapp, a Mary Kay consultant, Cindy Batchelor with Western Reserve Printing, Tracey Clark of Huntington Bank, Nancy Tauring with Brentwood Health Care Center and Rick and Bonnie Horsfall of Memories Made to Order. Without the above mentioned people, this outing just could not happen. The Chamber board of directors wants them all to know their efforts are appreciated. Thank you. * * * Don't miss the Sept. 9 Chamber monthly meeting at Gambitta's Party Center. This month the event is sponsored by Church of the Hills. The speakers will be representatives of our Nordonia Hills communities who will address the state of our communities. Because we plan to have a speaker from each of the four communities, this meeting will end at 1:30 p,m, instead of the usual 1 p.m. The lunch menu consists of steak, baked potato, salad, rolls and butter and dessert. Admission for Chamber members is $20; all others its $25. This meeting is open to the public. For reservations, please call the Chamber office at 330-467-8956. Comments
