The trouble with the Nordonia Hills City School District is right out front for everyone to see. I think it’s the superintendent and the School Board. The superintendent is getting a pension and salary and the Board lets him do it. Then they have money trouble and the kids get shafted by busing cuts. These are people who are supposed to care about the welfare and safety of the school kids, not make them walk to school where there could be pedophiles and no sidewalks. Why do they need a high-priced superintendent when there is a principal in each school building who could report to the School Board? I think if we get a new School Board, we’ll have people with compassion who care about the safety of the kids. The new sports complex is a joke. I think for a lot less money we could have fixed up the old complex. Then the rest of the money could have gone to the schools to keep the teachers from being laid off and busing from being cut. I think they just wasted the money and are now trying to wring more out of the people with a levy. Michael O’Brien Northfield Village
