Highland Road to be closed for road work
Summit County Engineer Greg Bachman reports that Norfolk & Southern Railroad will close a portion of Highland Road to all traffic for railroad repair work.
From March 17 to 21, motorists traveling west on Highland Road will have access to, but not beyond, the Chamberlin Road intersection. Motorists traveling east on Highland Road will only have access to approximately 3/4 of a mile east of Valley View Road (up to house number 1393).
All work is subject to inclement weather conditions.
Detour routes are as follows:
Motorists traveling west on Highland Road should turn right (north) onto Chamberlin Road and continue to Route 82. Turn left (west) on to Route 82 and continue to Valley View Road. Turn left (south) onto Valley View Road and continue to Highland Road.
Motorists traveling east on Highland Road should turn left (north) onto Valley View Road and continue to Route 82. Turn right (east) on to Route 82 and continue to Chamberlin Road. Turn right (south) on to Chamberlin Road and continue to Highland Road.
