Kindergarten enrollment begins
For the 2008-09 school year, half-day kindergarten will be offered.
Registration will take place by appointment at Northfield Elementary on June 11. To schedule an appointment, call 330-908-6224. Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 to be eligible to attend kindergarten.
Registration packets are available at the Nordonia Hills Public Library, in the lobby of the Board of Education located at 9370 Olde Eight Road in Northfield Center or on-line at

Summer classes
at Lawrence School
Lawrence School is offering summer courses from June 16 to July 11.
Enrollment on a per-course basis is open to existing Lawrence School students, as well as students from the community who are looking for fun local summer activities, could benefit from a refresher class, or who need to fulfill a course requirement for his or her current school. High school courses can be taken for course credit, which can transfer to a student's existing school.
Lawrence summer courses feature a low student-to-teacher ratio, hands-on learning, state-of-the-art classrooms on a 47-acre campus, and a recognition that each child learns differently.
Teachers are able to serve traditional learners as well as those who may have difficulty learning in a typical classroom due to learning and attention differences.
Fees range from $700 to $800 per four-week course.
