Bible Believers announce annual picnic
Bible Believer's Baptist Church will have its annual picnic July 26 at Sagamore Hills Township Park. The picnic is from 2 to 8 p.m. at Pavilion B.
A potluck dinner and dessert will be served at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The congregation would love to get a chance to meet some new families.

The church's weekly Wednesday night Bible Study and Prayer Meeting begins at 7 p.m. Nursery is available for children newborn up to age 2.
Nazarenes plan outdoor service
The Macedonia Church of the Nazarene, 9670 Valley View Road, will host an outdoor contemporary worship celebration in the Pavillion at the Nordonia Hills YMCA July 27 at 10 a.m.
Music will be led by the church's praise team and the Rev. Arnie Yost will share a message rooted in scripture and relevant to life.
The church will host a picnic lunch after the service.
The Nordonia Hills YMCA is at the corner of Shepard Road and Route 82 in Macedonia. For information about the service, call 330-467-9433.
All are welcome to attend and families are invited to bring children. Arrive early for doughnuts and coffee.

SummerFest continues
Northfield Baptist Church at 311 W. Aurora Road in Sagamore Hills announces the continuation of SummerFest 2008. SummerFest, a free Sunday evening series aimed at providing practical biblical instruction to help confront the top problems facing families today.
Area residents are welcome to attend these informal 6 p.m. sessions which include a one-hour teaching session followed by food, fellowship and activities. SummerFest also includes special activities for children. Children's activities include Bible lessons, crafts, crazy science experiments, prizes and games.
The following speakers and topics will be addressed:
* July 27 (sandwich night): "How to harness instead of harass your child's spirit" by Dr. Michael Peck.
* Aug. 3 (pizza night): "Can you hear me now (communications in the home)?" by the Rev. Chad Dalton.

* Aug. 24 (burger night): "Walking the tightrope of work and family" by Gary Hoffman.

Anti-addiction program
is under way
Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addiction program headquartered in Rockford, Ill, has started a chapter in Northfield.
The program meets every Friday night at the New Testament Baptist Church from 7 to 9 p.m.
The program is open to all adults who struggle with an addiction or a "stubborn habit." Call the church at 330-467-6757 for more information.
