Chamber planning 2008 Business-to-Business Expo

July 30, 2008

by Laura Sparano, Chamber Executive Director
I know it's still the middle of summer, but the 2008 Business-to-Business Expo committee is busy planning the best business-to-business event yet. This annual event, sponsored this year by University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center, is scheduled for Oct. 16, 4 to 7 p.m. at Gambitta's Party Center. And we have a way for you to save some money on your booth registration. On Aug. 5, Pulp Juice & Smoothie Bar (746 E. Aurora Road in Macedonia) will host a "Spotlight on the B2B Expo" early registration night from 5 to 7 p.m. If you register for a booth on that night, you will receive a discount on registration and a discount coupon for a Pulp drink. You will also be able to order an electronic list of all expo attendees for a discounted rate of $5, half off the normal price. Why another expo? This B2B Expo is designed for businesses that primarily do business with other businesses -- businesses who need copy machines, payroll processors, promotional items, health insurance, web design, etc. At this expo you will be able to discover all the resources available in Nordonia Hills, generate qualified leads, demonstrate new products, build awareness of your product/services, network and analyze your competition. It's a win-win situation for vendors and attendees alike. Plan to register and save some money at Pulp on Aug. 5. Committee members will be available to answer your questions. You can also check out our Web site for more information -- www.nordoniahillschamber.org.

If you are an existing Chamber member, new member or prospective member, please plan to attend Chamber 101 on July 31 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. (registration begins at 7:45 a.m.), at Reinecker's Bakery & Party Center, 8575 South Freeway Drive in Macedonia. All are invited to this informational event, sponsored by Reinecker's each year. Develop relationships with area business people (who could become clients or customers), gather referrals and go back to the office with a gift from the Chamber. Reservations are now being taken at the Chamber Office -- 330-467-8956. Don't miss out on the fun, discounts and opportunities to grow your business. Because of the generosity of Reinecker's, there is no admission charge for this event.

It's almost time for Chick-fil-A. Our own Macedonia restaurant will open on Aug. 6 at noon with a grand opening and business mixer. Lunch from noon to 2 p.m. will be free for area business people. Bring your business cards, stop in for a free lunch and meet your business neighbors. Owner Dan Stanko would like an approximate count of people planning to attend, so please let the Chamber Office (330-467-8956) know if you'll be having Chick-Fil-A for lunch on Aug. 6. The restaurant will be open for business at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 7.
