'Power Lab' features 'electrifying Bible adventures'
Shepard Road Christian Church in Macedonia invites area children to "Power Lab: Discovering Jesus' miraculous power."
The vacation Bible school, which meets Aug. 4 to Aug. 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., provides fun, memorable Bible-learning activities for children of all ages, according to the Rev. Dick Seawright, the church's pastor. Each day, children will sing, play teamwork-building games, share treats, take on a daily challenge, experience Bible adventures, collect "Memory Buddies" to remind them of God's word and create "Bible point" crafts.
"Power Lab is an exciting way for kids to learn more about Jesus' power," Seawright says. "Kids will join nearly a million children in North America and take part in a hands-on missions project that will reach kids in South Africa."
Each day will end in a "Faith Fusion Finale" -- a celebration Seawright says gets everyone involved in living what they've learned. Family and friends are invited to join in the finale at 8:20 p.m.
The church is at 9571 Shepard Road in Macedonia. For more information, call 330-467-5644.
