Think summer!
Did your kids spend too much time in front of the TV or video game console last summer? With the help of The Nordonia Middle School PTSA this summer can be different. On Saturday, February 7th, 2009 from 10 am through 1:30 pm, the Middle School will host the second annual Summer Camp Fair. The community is invited to attend this free event on Leonard Avenue, Northfield.
At the Summer Camp Fair, camps and organizations from near and far are invited to present information about their programs. There's a camp that's right for each camper and every budget. Visit the fair to learn more about the many different options. Programs for all ages will be represented - camps for children as young as six years old, for teens as old as eighteen, and even for families. Sports camps, traditional camp, music camp, arts camps, faith based camps, camps for kids with special needs, day camps, sleep away camps " there's truly something for everyone!
Other activities planned include a Teen Guitar Hero tournament hosted by GameStop, a scavenger hunt for young campers, and a great prize basket raffle. All attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a free week of camp. We'll have refreshments available at the concession stand. The whole community is invited to enjoy a little taste of summer on a wintry February Saturday.
