World War II veteran
Services are planned July 1 for William Gagliardi. Mr. Gagliardi, 86, of Macedonia, died June 27, 2009.
Mr. Gagliardi was born Feb. 17, 1923. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired after working for 37 years as a truck driver. He enjoyed wine making, fishing and being an outdoorsman.
Mr. Gagliardi was the husband of Anna (nee Kavula), who died in 1988.
He was the son of Max Gagliardi and Philomena Nace.
He was the father of Ed (Deborah) Morris of Peninsula and Daniel (Ruth) Gagliardi of Macedonia.
He was the grandfather of Lisa (Mike) Stephenson, Mark (Rachel) Morris, Shannon (David Stephenson) Bisson, William C. Gagliardi, Jessica, Rachel and Brittany Markle and the great grandfather of 10.
He was the brother of Lou, Henry and Nick, all deceased, and Rose, Emma, Eva and Rudy.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Twinsburg.
The family suggests contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
