Strategies for Attaining Financial Empowerment is offering free financial literacy classes in February
Basic Budgets demonstrates how important it is to create and maintain a family spending plan, and set realistic financial goals. Credit 101 covers the many terms associated with using credit, the new consumer protection laws, and how to guard against predatory lending practices. Credit Report Education informs participants how to access and understand a free credit report, ways to build and repair a credit report and score, and offers advice on avoiding identity theft.
Classes will be in Nelson, at Nelson United Methodist Church at 6:30 pm, February 1,8 and 15. In Streetsboro, at the Streetsboro Municipal building at 6 pm, February, 11, 18 and 25. In Ravenna, at the Salvation Army at 1 pm, February, 13, 20 and 27.
