The Historical Society of Olde Northfield will welcome Mr. William Schumann, who will hold a discussion at the Nordonia Hills Library on November 18th at 7pm. Mr. Schumann is a Navy veteran and the subject of the talk will focus on his experiences during World War II. Admission is free and open to the public.

Mr. William Schumann, a native to our area, is also author of the book "The Big Spud": U.S.S. Idaho in World War II : a war diary by a member of its VO squadron. His book describes his own personal experiences from the war as well as gives a detailed account of the battleship the U.S.S. Idaho.

The Historical Society of Olde Northfield welcomes anyone interested in Naval history to this informative evening.
