The Nordonia High School Science Olympiad Team recently qualified for Competition at the State level when they finished 3rd overall at the Regional competition held at Akron University on March6, 2010. Rebecca Toukonen is the advisor for the team, a Nordonia High School Chemistry teacher is quite pleased with the teams results, and is looking forward to competing at the State Level. The cost of competing at these events is all paid for by fundraising, and this year the team will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a handmade Nordonia Knights Quilt. The quilt was designed and created by Caroline Reinecker, mother of team member Melanie Davis. Tickets will be on sale at various events in the next weeks at the Highschool, Middleschool and Lee Eaton. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and can be purchased from members of the team and their parents.
