JUNE PROMOTION AT BOB EVANS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE

Until June 23, 45 Northeast Ohio Bob Evans locations are partnering with the American Cancer Society to raise funds in the fight against cancer. Proceeds will be earmarked for the Society's signature event Relay For Life.

In addition to in-store fundraisers and activities, participating Bob Evans will be hosting a Community Fun Night on June 17. During regular business hours on June 17, Bob Evans will donate 15% of sales back to the American Cancer Society when the Community Fun Night flyer is presented at time of purchase. The Macedonia Bob Evans will also be hosting a "Rock Around the Clock", a rocking chair-a-thon, starting Friday, June 18 at noon rocking until Saturday, June 19 at noon. They have six teams committed to rock out front of the 266 East Highland Rd. restaurant for 24 hours. "Rock Around the Clock" will feature the Macedonia fire department and truck, the D.A.R.E car, specials guests Biscuit & Gravy, and a smoothie social.

"It's because of individuals and companies like Bob Evans that we are able to make a difference and save lives," said Alexandra Houser Vukoder, spokesperson for the American Cancer Society. "All of the funds raised help the American Cancer Society continue to invest in ways to treat and detect cancer. Without a doubt we are enthused to have their on-going support."

Relay For Life is the signature event for the Society. It not only gives cancer survivors the opportunity to come together and celebrate life, it also raises income so the Society may continue to work to save lives. Teams of 10 to 15 people are formed by churches, groups, schools, families and others. Team members choose a nearby Relay and then participate by attending that Relay.

All Relays are held on the weekend and range from 18 to 24 hours long. A number of different activities organized by the volunteer committees take place at all events. Each team member from all of the teams raises income prior to the event.
