Free Concert at Brecksville United MethodistSeptember 1, 2010
"Sonatas, Fantasias, and Clock Pieces" a piano and organ recital by Jay Krasnow will be presented on Saturday, October 2, at 7:30 pm at Brecksville United Methodist Church. A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Krasnow has resided in Cleveland since 2004 and has found his niche performing "composed improvisations' and meditations in styles rooted in numerous folk and art musics of the world. He also specializes in rare late-period piano works by Ferenc (Franz) Liszt and other Hungarian contemporaries from the 1860s onward"some for left-hand only. The October 2 concert features music by C. P. E. Bach, in fitting tribute to the 300th birthday of his brother, W. F. Bach. This is the first concert of the 2010 " 2011 Concert Series at Brecksville United Methodist Church, which is located at 65 Public Square in Brecksville.
