A memorial gathering for Robert William Garbarini is scheduled for Nov. 17 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 99 W. Aurora Road in Northfield Center.

Mr. Garbarini, 87, of Macedonia, died Oct. 1, 2012, in Wells, Maine.

Mr. Garbarini served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a master welder and maintenance mechanic until his retirement in the 1980s.

Mr. Garbarini was the husband of Alice M. (nee Jackson), deceased, and the father of Karen L. and Craig B. (Jane) Garbarini. He was the grandfather of Craig D. (Heather), Kevin R. (Thom) and Christopher J. (Ticia) Garbarini, great-grandfather of Rosslyn, Brodie, Chase, Hunter, Larissa and Malia, brother of Marie Moricz, deceased and cousin of Charlotte Anderson.
