Services were Dec. 22 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home for Sagamore Hills resident Wilbur E. Hohne. Mr Hohne, 88, died Dec. 17, 2012, in Lake Placid, Fla.

Mr. Hohne was born in Cleveland on Sept. 8, 1924, to Paul and Caroline (neé Priebe) Hohne, both deceased.

Mr. Hohne served in the United States Army during World War II in the battle of Normandy and in the Rhineland. He earned the purple heart and three bronze stars.

Mr. Hohne was the husband of Elsie (neé Weichman, deceased in 1977) and the father of Linda (Thomas) Beuck and Kathleen (Danny) Schnoor, both of Streetsboro and Dennis (Sally, deceased) Hohne, of Macedonia.

He was the brother of Edna Ulatowski, Charles, and Kenneth and was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. He had seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, 38105
