I wish to thank
the members of our grass roots committee, "Fiscal Responsibility in Northfield Center," for all the hard work that went into our hugely successful campaign to deliver a solid, fact-based case against Issue 3. Thanks also go to our many supporters in the community who took the time to contact their friends and neighbors to spread the word, host campaign signs, or author letters to the News Leader.
Voter turnout at over 32 percent was exceptionally high for our wasteful $7,000 August special election, and the results were unbelievably strong in our favor at 83 percent "Against" versus 17 percent "For." I think these results speak to the strength of our message, our efforts to deliver the facts to the voters of Northfield Center, and supportive community involvement. We hope this is the start of a trend toward even higher active voter participation in Northfield Center.
Despite this, the fire/EMS service issue is far from resolved, and so we expect a continuing need for active involvement to persuade our trustees to make the sensible decision. The major driver of the decision process must be to ensure that the option chosen is aligned toward the future creation of a true fire district. It must not replicate past mistakes or create another unsustainable high cost environment due to wasteful area-wide over-staffing and duplication of equipment.

I apologize for such a comment... But, you sir are an idiot. Your posts are so backwards. Your attachments to the mayor of macedonia are misleading to the residents of the community you live in. You should be ashamed of yourself.
