I would like to
thank Lou LaGuardia and the 50 or so residents who worked to defeat Issue 3, the fire levy. They did a masterful job on a short notice. If it had gone through it would have cost the Northfield Center homeowners extra taxes on their home. This was not needed because we had other options. It already cost us taxpayers extra when the Trustees put it up for a special election. When Sagamore dropped out of the fire service agreement with the Center and went with Macedonia, it should have been a no-brainer for our Trustees but to go with Macedonia. The Trustees wanted the job or they would not have campaigned for it, they were elected to do what's best for the community, not their egos. Us homeowners owe a gratitude of thanks to Lou and his band of no-sayers. Thanks again Lou and the band of 50, working to keep our elected officials in check.

Question, do the group of you guys just sit around with the mayor of macedonia and tim black thinking of different ways to stroke each others egos? how about not spending money on say no signs and trucks and fix your own ditches and no assess residents that it doesnt effect. at least all residents benefit from EMS only a few benefit from a ditch that is your own problems. I beg this township stays away from macedonia and the shady politicians and chief.
