CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK MARCH SCHEDULED EVENTS

March 3

Cuyahoga Valley National Park Concert: Vistn -- Since forming in 2000, Vistn has developed into one of the most exciting folk bands on the international music scene, combining original compositions and traditional French-Acadian songs with driving rhythms. Happy Days Lodge. Doors open 7 p.m., concert begins 8 p.m. General seating. Fee: $20 adults, $15 Conservancy members, $10 students, children under 10 free. Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad National Park Scenic Day Pass -- View wildlife and scenery in the comfort of climate-controlled train cars. Get on and off at any station. Spend a whole day exploring or just a few hours. Advance ticket purchase recommended. Arrive 30 minutes before departure time. Fee (coach): $15 adults, $10 children ages 3 through 12. Countryside Farmers' Market at Old Trail School -- Live music, chef demonstrations, and family activities add spice to shopping for local produce. Old Trail School, 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, visit cvcountryside.org.

Spring Training Hike -- Hike 1.5 miles along the rolling, unpaved Oak Hill Trail. Oak Hill Trailhead, 9 -- 10:30 a.m. for more information, call 330-657-2752.

.Junior Ranger Jr.: Whatever the Weather -- Become a park scientist for the day. Investigate where rain comes from and why the temperature changes. Learn how to use different weather recording instruments out on the trail. For ages 4 through 6 with an adult. Free. 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. For registration and location, call 330-657-2752 ext. 100.

Breakfast and Lunch Along the Cuyahoga -- All aboard for a four-course meal catered by Creekside Restaurant. Fee (breakfast/lunch): $30/32 adult, $25/27 children ages 12 and younger. Rockside Station, 10 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. For tickets, visit cvsr.com.

Mornings on the Saint Lucie -- Sit back, unwind with a continental breakfast while traveling in the Saint Lucie Sound luxury train car. Coffee, juice, and other beverages are available.
