Beginning Jan. 3, the Summit County Clerk of Courts office will implement mandatory electronic filing of court documents for cases in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas Criminal Division, Clerk Sandra Kurt announced in a news release.

MACEDONIA THEFT Employee allegedly stole cash, quit job: Police charged a 23-year-old Bedford man with one count of first-degree misdemeanor theft after he allegedly took cash from a cash register at the end of his shift at a Route 82 business Dec. 16 around 6:30 p.m.
MACEDONIA ALCOHOL- AND DRUG-RELATED Possession of drug paraphernalia: An 18-year-old Warrensville Heights woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for a traffic violation Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m. on Interstate 271.
MACEDONIA ALCOHOL- AND DRUG-RELATED Possession of drugs: A 30-year-old Garfield Heights man was charged with possession of drugs Nov. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Macedonia Commons. Police received an anonymous call about a suspicious man.
MACEDONIA ALCOHOL- AND DRUG-RELATED Possession of drug paraphernalia: A 20-year-old Macedonia man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs Dec. 2 at 12:25 a.m. on East Highland Road.
MACEDONIA Traffic stops Possession of drugs: Two Ashtabula residents, a man, 25, and a woman, 19, were charged with possession of drugs Nov. 9 at 10:56 p.m. on Fairlane Drive. Police said the car was stopped because it had no headlights on, for which the man was cited.

SAGAMORE HILLS BURGLARY Jewelry taken: A Continental Drive man reported Oct. 8 at 3:29 a.m. that jewelry and cash totaling $7,000 was stolen during a house break-in. The man reported he found a first-floor rear sliding door broken into at Oct. 7 at 9:54 p.m. Police are investigating.
MACEDONIA ALCOHOL- AND DRUG-RELATED Open can of beer: A 27-year-old Northfield man was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol Oct. 11 at 6:31 p.m. on Firestone Lane near Ledge Road. An anonymous caller reported suspicious activity at Sugarbush Park.
