Nordonia boys bowlers advance to districts

The Nordonia High School boys bowling team is headed back to the Division I district tournament. The Knights finished third in a field of 14 squads at the sectional tournament Feb. 19 at Sky Lanes in Garrettsville. The top four teams advanced to the district round of competition.

A defensive resurgence helped the Nordonia High School boys basketball team win two games in a row recently, as the Knights knocked off University School and Cuyahoga Falls. Nordonia beat University School by the score of 55-46 at home Feb. 4.

The Nordonia High School ice hockey team accomplished its goal of reaching the Baron Cup. However, the Knights were not able to take the next step and win a game in the Baron Cup Tournament. On Feb. 7, Nordonia played in the first round of the Baron Cup against Brooklyn.

The Nordonia High School boys swimming team is getting into the habit of producing exciting victories. On Jan. 28, the Knights edged Western Reserve Academy 90-89. Then on Feb. 3, Nordonia clipped Riverside 86-84 at the Macedonia Recreation Center.

The Nordonia High School boys swimming team produced an exciting victory last week, as the Knights defeated Western Reserve Academy by a single point. Both the Knights and Lady Knights battled WRA on the road Jan. 28. The Nordonia boys edged Western Reserve Academy by the score of 90-89.
