The Nordonia High School girls track and field team recently received its toughest challenge in a dual meet so far this season, and the Lady Knights passed the test and remained undefeated.

On April 25, Nordonia hosted Suburban League National Conference rival Twinsburg. The Lady Knights edged the Lady Tigers by the score of 73-64.

"We squeaked one out," said Nordonia head coach Scott Barwidi. "We had some very nice performances recorded in many areas of the meet. [Juniors] Faith Banks and Aja DuVall both really came through when it mattered most during the 200. The 1,600 [relay] team performed as we thought they could in a pressure-filled race."

With the victory, Nordonia improved its overall record to 6-0. The Lady Knights are also 6-0 in the National Conference.

On April 29, the Lady Knights competed in the 40th annual Avon Reynolds Relays. Avon won the invitational with 95 points, while Rocky River finished second with 74 points and Nordonia placed third overall with 65 points.
